This game has one of the biggest locomotions that I’ve ever seen on the cover of a boardgamebox. Let’s see if this game is on the right track!
During your turn you will move your train from city to city, picking up and delivering goods as you go. As long as you have enough space in your train, you can pick up goods. When you enter a city that shares a color with one of your goods, you automatically unload that good into your warehouse. You can take goods from your warehouse to fulfill contracts. The first player to fulfill a certain amount of contracts, wins the game.
But be careful: your opponent’s switchmen may change the switches and put your train on the wrong track!
Luckely there are also offices availables that grant you special actions that you can take during your turn.
As soon as you open the box, you are greated by a lot of nice, colorful, wooden components. The rules are very simple and clear and don’t take much time to explain to everyone.
I enjoyed this game, but I would recommend to play it with more than 2 players. In a 2 player game there will not be a lot of interaction between both players and both players will head of in their own direction. With four players, the game will be more challenging when the switchmen are more important and when it gets more difficult to fulfill a contract.
(+) Quick & easy to learn
(+) Nice components
(+) Best played with 4 / 5 players
(-) Not much of a challenge when playing with only 2 players.
